Why Gunslinger?

For years, friends and family would visit us in Jackson Hole from around the country. Like most visitors, they experienced the national parks, fine dining, luxury accommodations, and many of the things that make this place extraordinary.

But there was always one evening that stood apart.

We would take them into the Wyoming backcountry. Nothing elaborate at the time. Just good food, a fire, s’mores, star-filled skies, and time together in a place that felt far removed from the pace of everyday life.

What surprised us was not how much they enjoyed the scenery. It was what they talked about afterward.

Again and again, guests would tell us that a single evening in Jackson Hole’s backcountry had become the highlight of their entire trip. Not because it was the most expensive, exclusive, or adventurous thing they had done, but because of how it made them feel.

That realization eventually became Gunslinger.

Over time, I came to understand that people are rarely searching for another activity.

What we are really searching for is time.

Time.

Time with our spouse. Time with our children. Time with lifelong friends. Time away from schedules, meetings, notifications, and obligations.

The landscapes of Wyoming create the setting, but the real value is what happens within it: the conversations that linger long after the fire burns down, the laughter shared between old friends, and the rare feeling of being fully present with the people who matter most.

That is what Gunslinger was built to create.

Today, we design private experiences throughout Jackson Hole for individuals, families, and groups who want something more personal than a traditional tour and more meaningful than a luxury itinerary.

Some experiences are quietly understated. Others are more highly produced.

What they share is a commitment to thoughtful hospitality, genuine connection, and an unwavering attention to detail.

We intentionally remain boutique because every guest is different. No two groups arrive with the same interests, personalities, or expectations, and we believe the experience should reflect that.
